PROJECT OVERVIEW

Screamland was a month-long, immersive haunted house experience that broke away from typical linear “maze” formats. As Creative Director, I conceptualized a free-roaming design that encouraged guests to explore at their own pace, uncovering dark secrets and eerie vignettes at every turn.

Creative Direction

I wrote and developed over 20 unique characters, each portrayed by a dedicated cast member—allowing for spontaneous interactions and a variety of scare styles. Rather than directing traffic down a single path, the experience allowed visitors to stumble upon hidden scenes and storylines, creating a deeper sense of tension and discovery.

HIGHLIGHTS

Story-Driven Experience: Every character had an individual backstory, adding layers of narrative to the overall attraction.

Freedom & Exploration: Guests could roam corridors, side rooms, and outdoor spaces, heightening the sense of unpredictability.

Actor-Focused: The cast brought the story to life, improvising scares and interactions, which kept the experience fresh every night.
