PROJECT OVERVIEW
I served as the Creative Director for Brevard county’s first-ever Horror Film Festival, an event built from the ground up with no client—just a passionate three-person team and a shoestring budget.
GOALS & APPROACH
Our mission was to showcase indie horror films and give them a platform in a local community hungry for fresh genre content. We received over 1,200 submissions from across the globe and screened the top selections at the Titusville Mall Theater, transforming it into an immersive experience complete with a mini haunted house, costume contests, spooky vendors, food trucks, and live music.

Creative Direction
Branding & Visuals: Developed the festival’s entire visual identity, including posters, promo videos, and social media graphics.
Social Media Buzz: Launched a series of faux news stories that blurred the line between fiction and reality—generating major online engagement.
Collaboration: Worked closely with the theater staff as well as vendors to coordinate logistics and create a truly unique event.

Highlights
Ultra-low-budget production with maximum creativity: repurposed materials, volunteer support, and clever marketing.
A Best in Show statue designed by a renowned artist, adding prestige to the award ceremony.
Positive community response: strong attendance, enthusiastic feedback, and local press coverage.
Results
Despite financial constraints, the festival energized the local horror community and successfully celebrated independent filmmakers.
10/10- would do it all over again.
